Mommy, where did I come from?

I'll give you my theory on how the Creator designed our universe.

First a little background... I know most of you are familiar with Schroedinger's Cat Link, the basic concept of which is that if an independent system remains unobserved by humans, then all possible quantum states co-exist in superposition.

Now take a fresh new universe created with this amazing rule. No observers => every quantum possiblity happens, an uncountably infinite number of parallel universes existing together in a state of superposition. Until in one of these universes Adam 'happens'. (Read, God created Man from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of 'life') Adam, being the first observant human, looks about him, and collapses the quantum wave, putting infinities of other potential universes out of quantum existence. And here we are.

As I've noted before, our Creator is stunningly advanced, technologically. I don't think the technical details of the creation would have been appropriate for Genesis 1, but I pray that one day we might understand clearly the details of HOW creation was accomplished.

Comment just for your Schroedinger's Cat reference!

I was happy to find your blog, until now unknown to me. I am not familiar with most of what you offer here. I just believe that God did create this earth and everything in it out of love for us, wanting a free response to that love. The symbolism of the first creation story is to teach us that He, indeed, wants a personal relationship with us, that He wants to be involved in every detail of our lives, that He asks for so little in return for all His wonderous gifts.

Thanks for your insights.

Ok, but what makes all possible states evaporate just because man observes one of them?

HOW creation was accomplished By Albert EInstein's DNA.

When Adam exhaled for the first time.

What would be the point of creating infiniate universes?

God breathed into Adam the breath of life...meaning...God gave Adam life or made him alive.

What makes the dead cat go away when Schroedinger opens the box and finds a living feline?

What would be the point of creating infiniate universes?

That's infinite universes existing in a state of quantum superposition. Not quite the same thing as just having infinite universes. (which may exist anyhow, but that's a different matter). And you're right... God made Adam alive. We just don't know how yet.

My point I guess, is that there are an infinite number of alternate universes based upon every decision made.  For every decision, there are at least 2 possible alternatives.  And in making one decision, we continue along this one, but another is split off where the other option was chosen.  Just because we cannot observe other alternate universes, does not mean they do not exist.

Right. They may exist, just not for us. I may be dead in an alternate universe, or may have never existed. I'm not losing any sleep over the alternate me's fate.

Ok, that I will buy (the not for us).  But not the dead part!
